For anyone that has ever ventured out and taken the leap to create a business, their story is unique and the dream behind the business has a purpose. I would like to share with you a little about how the Pink Ribbon Marketplace was born and the purpose behind it.

I have been a nurse for over 20 years and have worked in many areas of nursing and health care but hold womens health care dear to my heart. Each journey of a womans life is quite unique. From motherhood to menopause we have many phases of life that are remarkable and memorable. As a mother of 3 daughters I knew that early on I always wanted to have my own business but did not know exactly when the timing would be right. It was not until 2007 that everything I envisioned doing was slowly falling into place. My girls were getting older and the dream of pursuing my passion was soon becoming a reality. Through prayer and persistence it became apparent that giving back to something I truly believed in was what I needed to do.

You see, my mother is a survivor of Breast Cancer, so as a woman and the mother of 3 daughters it quickly became apparent that creating a business that gives back to Breast Cancer victims and their families was important to me. I am very proud of my mother for standing strong when she was at her weakest. For hanging in there during chemotherapy, undergoing a bilateral mastectomy, raising adolescent children (at the time), managing a full time job, and being a wife to my wonderful dad. As I look back on it all, not only was it extremely physically taxing, but emotionally exhausting for her as well. She has since recovered from her cancer and this year will be a very blessed 19 year SURVIVOR!! She is my inspiration for this business!

But as we know to well that one month your self breast exam may be fine, no lumps, no pain and you take a sigh of relief. But the next month could be a different story. It is there. A lump, a nodule, a mass. Cancer grows at an extremely rapid rate. In my nursing career, I have seen many women survive Cancer, and many who lose their battle sooner than they wanted to. The domino affect of how breast cancer not only affects their victims but also loved ones is overwhelming.

So for my mother, my daughters, myself and all of the women and their loved ones out there, this business was created for you. It was created with a passion to bring Breast Cancer Awareness to everyone. If by wearing or displaying one Pink Ribbon item will get even 1 woman to think about Breast Cancer and take action, then maybe that is one more woman who has a chance at survival, and one less family who has to deal with the devastated aftermath of the disease.

So how does the Pink Ribbon Marketplace give back? As I stated earlier, I have been a nurse for over 20 years, my community work during my Home Health nursing days and with mother being an active participant in the Reach to Recovery program after her mastectomy, I knew how important the program was and the positive impact it has on the women newly diagnosed with Breast Cancer. So I personally chose our local American Cancer Society and Reach to Recovery Program to be the receipient of funds we donate. Knowing that someone who needs something a lot more than I do and being able to "give back" in their time of need is what it we are all about.

The Pink Ribbon Marketplace officially opened for business in August of 2008 and the journey has been wonderful. I love hearing from our special customers that have shared a piece of their life and heart with me. Your stories and personal efforts are remarkable!! So as we continue to grow and give back in our own way, your continued business and referrals are greatly appreciated. Together we can make a difference.

Shipping Information
Pink Ribbon Marketplace currently ships only to the 50 US States and Canada. International orders will be shipped upon personal request.

We pride ourselves on efficient and quick shipping and strive make the most of your shopping experience with us. Please allow 24-48 hour business day order processing. Orders recieved after 4 p.m. will be processes the following business day.

Please allow 7-10 days USPS shipping time for all parcel post shipping requests. If your merchandise is needed sooner we recommend you select the Priority Mail option.

All items are shipped out USPS. Charges are based on the total amount of your item and will be calculated at the time of check out. If you have a special circumstance and need your item shipped immediately please contact us and we will be happy to accomodate any request you have.

All USPS Priority Mail orders placed will recieve an email tracking number as soon as the package ships. If your package is sent First Class and desires a tracking number, please contact us via e-mail: pinkribbonmarketplace@yahoo.com or phone and we will be happy to accomodate your request.

Shipping Insurance
Shipping insurance is OPTIONAL, but recommended. Once items are shipped we are not responsible for postal loss, delays or damage if it is not insured. If insurance is needed, please indicate that upon check out and we will be happy to adjust your purchase order and add it for the amount valued.

Please NOTE that Tennessee residents will be charged 9.75% state sales tax. All other states are exempt from taxes.

If the availability or an item on our store site is not currently available, please e-mail or call us. We will be happy to place a special order for you at no additional charge if that item is available through our vendors

Our Refund & Return Policy
Regular priced merchandise may be returned within 7 days of receipt goods. An authorization number must be obtained prior to return. A full refund less shipping charges and a 15% restocking fee will be applied. Pink Ribbon Marketplace will accept responsibility for the return shipping charges for defective or incorrect products sent out if notified within the 7 day time period. **Any items that have been personalized, marked on sale, final clearance or wholesale priced are not returnable or refundable.
